Whenever there’s a serious downfall in the economy – regardless of the skewed calculations provided by both state and local governments – a spike in criminal activity is eminent. This goes for crimes all across the board – domestic violence, murder, rape, robbery, drug related offenses, random acts of self mutilation, suicide and of course, home invasions.  Let’s stop right there for the moment.  Home invasions sit right up at the top of the list along with crimes of domestic violence.  1 out of 5 homes in the United States will experience a break-in or home invasion of some sort. A burglary takes place every 10 seconds in our country.  And in this day and age it seems there is an ongoing trend with blatant home invasions around our country.
