Take a journey through a wilder time of life during an era of sexual exploration and political revolt.  The 70′s could not have been branded better than it was by Larry Levenson.  In his eyes, ‘swinging’ wasn’t just for the elite and beautiful.  It had nearly become accepted as the norm with many in the upper tiers of society.  With the likes of Hollywood stars, musicians, high profile politicians, doctors and lawyers, Levenson saw the opportunity to open a door that would allow for all walks of life to partake in such unihibited sexual experiences — that is, at a price.  Without any discrimination, for a mere $35,  couples checked their judgments and pedigrees at the door of this clothing-optional Disneyland – Plato’s Retreat.

Inevitably an era of such free and joyous activity soon became paralyzed by an epidemic of fear that quietly crept in through the back door.  AIDS took it’s toll on so many in a devastating fashion.  It would eventually spawn a psychological deconstruction that would alter a culture of sexual exploration.
