Allie Haze is fresh out the box
April 20, 2010
Words & Interview by Steve DiLodovico | Smutlife
Allie Haze is the quintessential “girl next door” (though she’s a lot filthier than any girl I’ve ever lived next door to!). With an all-natural look and an inviting, giggling demeanor she is softly approachable; accessible. This little honey goes out of her way to stay in contact with her fans. Eight months into her adult career and her star is definitely on the rise; she’s done a slew of scenes for Naughty America and has just gotten word on a new feature in the works tailored specifically for her. You may not know her name right now, but you will soon
So you’re kind of new…
AH: Yeah, just eight months in.
Tell us about yourself. How did you get here?
AH: Basically I’ve been modeling my whole life and I took a little break from it; went to college, did some other things. I was actually a lesbian before I became a bisexual. I was really into women. I got married really early and then got divorced. I was married to a preacher…
No kidding?
AH: (Laughing) yeah, when I was 18. I grew up with him. My town was a very small town. Unfortunately the marriage ended pretty badly. It was something I needed to get out of. It was very unhealthy.
It must have been kind of tough living in this marriage with all these other desires.
AH: It was interesting. I felt that I was in love with this man and that this life was what I wanted. I always felt there was more to my life and myself, sexually, even before I got married. I just chose to take a different path, I guess. After I got divorced I met someone new and he knew people and one thing kind of led to another. He knew how much I loved women and I needed my fix. From there I started doing a little bit of girl/girl and then went to boy/girl and now I’m where I am at…
Do you come from a religious background?
AH: Yes, I grew up very religious. My family in general is very religious.
That’s quite a rebellion you’ve got going on…
AH: I don’t know if it’s a rebellion, per se. I mean, I’m still a religious person; I still believe in God. I just believe that everyone’s entitled to their own thing, you know? I never want to be questioning if I should have done something. I never want to be that person asking “what if?” I always say try everything once…
How do you reconcile your life now with that kind of upbringing?
AH: Half my family is cool with it and half my family isn’t. I come from a divorced family. My parents were divorced when I was very young. One half of my family is very supportive; they just want to make sure I’m doing what I’m doing because it’s what I want to do, not what I have to do to make money. I don’t do porn because I need the money. I do it because I enjoy it. And, just like I tell all my fans: as soon as I stop enjoying it; that’s when I’ll quit. The other half of my family wants nothing to do with my career. Which is OK; I believe everyone has a right to their opinions and beliefs. I knew getting into this that my actions were going to affect the people around me because of the job I chose. I knew that walking in and I took that risk with the understanding that some of my family members would not be OK with it. But I was OK with it.
What kind of empowerment do you feel in this line of work?
AH: Actually, I tell people all the time that I was a very insecure woman before I started in porn. I actually hated my body. As long as I can remember I did. I hated my tits! I have small tits and a big butt and growing up it really sucked! Tits are everything. Coming into porn has really taught me to respect myself as I am; as the woman that I am. I am so happy with myself and my body now.
Is that a result of some of the reactions you’ve gotten from your work?
AH: Definitely! I have some amazing fans. It’s really intriguing to hear what people have to say after they watch my stuff. Luckily I have really awesome fans. The compliments and the suggestions they give me… I’m a big “suggestion” person. I talk to my fans all the time and ask their opinions. I’m like “Did you see the scene? What did you think? What was bad, what was good? Did you feel it was real?” Because I want my stuff to be real and heartfelt. I want it to feel like what would happen if you just picked me up off the street or if we met in a bar and we talked and you took me home and had sex with me. That’s what I want to portray on film. Some people think that porn is just getting on camera and having sex, but it’s so much more than that. Because the thing is: you can be bad at it.
So what’s the best part of a scene with Allie Haze?
AH: I’m pretty well-known for my kissing and my passion. At least that’s what I get complimented on a lot. There are a lot of people in the industry who don’t kiss at all. Who has sex and doesn’t kiss somebody? I mean, maybe if you’re pumping out a quickie in an elevator, sure. But, realistically, in a situation where you’re in a bed or on a couch how do you not kiss somebody? I remember in high school that was the thing: if the dude can kiss then I’m in. I don’t care if he has a three-inch penis, I’m fucking him. Kissing is big for me. Same with making eye contact.
What are the surprises you’ve encountered in the porn industry?
AH: I’ve had a lot of positive experiences since I started. When I first started I did a scene where my male talent was just completely not there. He felt he was there only to be a cock. That was my one bad experience. It was probably my fourth scene and the first three had been so amazing. He didn’t talk to me; he didn’t even say “hi” to me when I showed up on the set. It was like I wasn’t even there. Usually before a scene we talk; we chit-chat about our lives and stuff. I felt like a piece of meat and, of course, the scene was horrible. I joke around a lot: I’m the biggest cornball in the world! I make jokes all the time. People fart during sex: it’s funny. In porn I learned a lot of stuff like when you’re doing a scene your pussy makes noises! So I’m all about the inappropriate humor.
You make yourself really accessible to your fans.
AH: Yeah, I’m always on Twitter; like 24/7! If you ever want to talk to me I am always on Twitter and I answer everybody. I don’t let a message go by without responding to it. I recently did my first AdultCon show. It was great: I got my own booth and did my own thing. I wasn’t with a company or another girl, it was just me. It was so awesome to get to spend time with and meet a lot of my fans. It was cool that they paid attention to the things that I was trying to do extra for them. I tried to make my products as cheap as possible. I gave out free 8×10’s whenever I could; I tried to give out as much free stuff as possible. I tried to make an effort to put myself out there and not just sit behind a table. That’s really big for me.
What’s in the future for Allie Haze?
AH: My website will be up shortly; right now there’s stuff on it but there’s no members’ area. That will be coming soon. It’s just plain www.alliehaze.com. Like I said, I’m always on Twitter so if anyone wants to chit-chat or get to know me that’s where you can find me: http://twitter.com/alliehaze. I keep it very simple and easy for people to find me. The newest DVD that I’ve been in is Fucking Faces 8 by Evil Angel and Joey Silvera. That was a good one. I just shot for Elegant Angel for the first time, I’m excited about that. It was for their Starlets series, just not sure what number it’ll be. I’m crossing my fingers because I have a reading for New Sensations tomorrow and I’ve never worked with them. Sweetheart Video just got approved to do a feature for me! It’s just been approved and we’re going to be shooting it next month. Keep your eyes open, you’ll be seeing a lot of me.
Last words?
AH: I love all you guys, I hope everybody enjoys this. If you ever want to get to know me better, I’m always on Twitter. I am so glad I get to do this for a living and everybody watches it!
