Black Dynamite
Cinema Review by Calvin Smitty | Smutlife
Okay, in all honesty “Black Dynamite” is a spoof of the blaxploitation films of the 70’s and the plot is not important. The jokes are front center here, but if I have to give you a plot here it is – Black Dyamite is fightin’ the man. There ya’ happy?
It feels like the creator of “Black Dynamite” was quit possibly the long lost illegitimate black brother, from another mother of Mel Brooks. There’s so much comedy packed into this flick that in the process it actually makes co-stars Tommy Davidson and Arsenio Halls‘ over exaggerated laughs funny again (or for the first time.)
Who knew Michael Jai White was so hilarious? You must forgive me, but I sat out the “Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married” franchise. So if he was funny in those films so be it, but I’m willing to bet that not only did you not see those films you may not even be aware they exist.
White, who is most known for his action films, is kicking ass, banging bitches and tossing out hilarious one-liners so quickly that you’re probably gonna have to re-watch this film immediately just to make sure you caught everything. Hell, even the big ass gap in his teeth seemed funny in this film.
Memorable Quotes
The Sexy
Black Chick #2: Black Dynamite, that was the best loving I ever had.
White Chick #2: Me too.
Asian Chick: That goes triple for me.
Black Dynamite: Shh. Mama, you’re gonna wake up the rest of the bitches.

The Absurd
“I’m spendin’ more bail money than I’m gettin’ tail money.” – Chocolate Giddy-Up
The Random
“You can bet your sweet ass and half a titty whoever put that hit on you already got the cops in their back pocket.” – Black Dynamite
Verdict
“Black Dynamite” is Martin Luther King’s dream realized on film. This film will bring people of all races together as one entertained audience – that or its set us back a few decades. Either way, this film is a must see.
