SG prospect Alli Lindner

SuicideGirls was probably the first alt/softcore pin-up site that we can recall coming across on the internet.  Their approach of portraying hot, ink-clad girls in a rather raw yet organically sexy photographic fashion (minus all those unnecessary articles of clothing) helped kick in the door for what would evolve into a indie revolution (considered to many a lifestyle) known as alternative erotica.  Since the sites inception in 2001, there have been endless numbers of young women featured on the SuicideGirls site. Given the opportunity to shoot and submit their own photos, models have been granted control over how they are visually represented through their erotic sets.

Smutlife’s Kate Kant caught up with upcoming SG model Alli Lindner to chat a little about her upcoming photo set shot by Tile Wolfe.

Why Suicide Girls?

I’ve been looking at Suicide Girls (via free sets, preview sets, etc.) since I was fourteen.  I loved that there were these beautiful, bold, confident, tattooed/pierced/etc. ladies out there that were just unafraid of their bodies and of people seeing their bodies.  It wasn’t until about a year ago when I realized that it was even possible to apply to be a part of that group of people.
Would you agree that pornography is a form of art?

I feel like the nature of art is that anything can be art to someone and be not-art to someone else.
But it’s still cool to get off to, right?

I mean, I’ve gotten off to it.
How did it feel to be photographed naked?

A big mixture of nerve-wracking, freeing, sexy, silly, embarrassing, and empowering.
What happens now?

The photographer and I have to sit down and choose 40-60 photos from the 750 we shot.  After that, we submit them and wait to see if the set gets chosen for the front page.  If it does, I stop being what SG calls a “Hopeful” and start being a Suicide Girl.  If not, we shoot another set for SG or try to get the set up on another site.

Do you feel good about the shoot? Do you think it will get chosen?

I love the photos from what I’ve seen so far.  It’s pretty difficult to get a first set chosen, though, so my expectations are low.  Regardless, it was a great experience.  How many people can say they were photographed completely naked standing in front of a window overlooking Union Square?  Probably more than I would imagine, actually.

Do you think you would do something similar again?

Without a doubt.  The photographer & I are already talking about a concept for a second shoot.
